The Overcoming Light

I love it when God brings His wonderful truths to mind at just the perfect times! 

Earlier this week, God lovingly showed me these verses:

"But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of  us.

We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed;

We are perplexed, but not in despair;

Persecuted, but not forsaken;

Cast down, but not destroyed; 

Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.... For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day." [2 Cor. 4:7-10, 16]

The only Thing that can keep us from being consumed by life's distresses is Christ. 

He is our Overcoming Light.

Focus on Him today. Let Him shine in and through you. He will renew your weary spirit and fill you with the grace and strength that you need day by day, hour by hour, moment by moment.
